my background

As a somatic bodyworker and ayurvedic consultant, I have a passion for uncovering the patterns within the complexities of each body. I have worked in the wellness industry alongside chiropractors, rolfers, and acupuncturists for over 30 years. I have worked extensively with chronic injuries and chronic illness.  I love putting on my detective hat until we root out the sources of discomfort in your body.

I am a mom to three teenagers, and have twins on the autism spectrum and a daughter at CSU. Before I had kids, I was a traveler. I backpacked, often on my own, to 20 countries. I love the way travelers open up and create immediate community with each other. I also love being out in the unknown. In my early traveling days, I wanted to develop a skill that I could take with me anywhere in the world. I had been a remedial reading tutor and studied forest management, but nothing captured my attention as massage school did. Initially, I thought of my studies as a way to work as I traveled.

To accommodate my growing love for physical and spiritual anatomy I have been a perpetual and ardent student. In my 30+ years of working with the body I have studied ayurvedic medicine, yoga therapy, cranial sacral, viserceral manipulation, Thai massage and Gestalt Therapy. I don’t rely on any one system. I stay flexible and pick and choose as needed from my tool bag.

Thirty years later, I am still in love with doing bodywork. I love watching people connect the dots between their personal story and the hidden story in their body. My favorite part of the session is the “aha moment.”

I look forward to connecting with you!
